The Verga Church Sunday School
provides a solid Christian education for small children to young adults.
Sunday School starts at approximately 11:15 A.M. after our opening of our Worship Service,
but be sure children are at the church at 11:00am for the beginning of service.
Our Sunday School teacher is Sarah Kotter.
The Sunday School sponsors a Christmas program featuring talents of our students in December and a Vacation Bible School in the summer.
As we feel that a good Christian education is important for everyone, membership in our church is not required for participation in our
Sunday School program. Please feel free to join us any Sunday.
The Christian Service Guild
has been the main vehicle for our community outreach programs. The ladies host a covered dish super the
first Monday of every month from September through June. All are welcome, we ask
for a donation and that you bring a covered
dish to share with us during this time of fellowship. In June, the Guild will hold
the annual Church Picnic at Soupy Island this year.
A fun time for all with activities ranging from swimming to hymn sings and no one goes away hungry from this tasty event. Another real
treat is the Guild’s annual Fall Bazaar. Homemade crafts, soup, baked goods and a Trash and Treasure sale make this a “don’t miss” event.
Tuesday Evening Bible Study
offers an informal atmosphere to gather for study and discussion of the Holy Scriptures. This class is
offered different times of the year so keep your ears open for the next date. Everyone is welcomed and you don’t what to miss it.
The Verga Church
hosts a variety of local civic and social groups as they meet to provide service to the local community. To make
this possible we have several groups and organizations within the church that are always looking for volunteers with special talents
to make the church a true discipleship base of God for all.
The Verga Church is a friendly, informal, Christian Church where the members are a caring and loving family. We welcome anyone to attend,
whether you would just like to visit, join us for Sunday school, attend a covered dish supper or if you would like to join our close knit
